Acclaimed Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik recalls friction with the show's creators

Sapochnik is known for directing the HBO drama's epic battle episodes, for "Hardhomme" to "Battle of the Bastards" to "The Bells." But he didn't get off on the right foot with creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who initially hated his directing style. “I was visually policed for the first three months of my shoot and it made the creation of ‘Hardhome’ really difficult because I pissed them off," he says.
