Ironmouse, a well-known VTuber on Twitch, has yet to reveal her identity. In July 2025, she left VShojo, which many people talked about a lot because there were new and big claims about money issues and bad management in that group.
Her exit ended a long link, but it also brought up problems about pending payments and other big worries on how the firm was run in secret.
Ironmouse, a big name in the VTubing world, popped up in 2017 amid a wave of new digital stars. She comes from Puerto Rico and has common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), which makes her stay inside and use oxygen help.
So, she picked virtual streaming as a way to be creative while dealing with her long-term illness.
She first wanted to be an opera singer, but her health made her change her plan. Taking cues from early VTuber star Kizuna AI, Ironmouse made a lively animated version of herself, a fun demon girl with pink and purple hair.
This lets her hide behind a character while still sharing who she is.
Instead of backing away from her state, she embraced it. Her high-tone voice gets attention from new watchers who don't know her past.
Mixing jokes, songs, and close talks, she made a strong mark on the web, with over 2.3 million fans on Twitch. She's now one of the top women on the site.
Ironmouse has kept her true face a secret from her very beginning in streaming. No one knows how she looks, a rare case even in VTuber world, where fake looks are common.
There have been talks and guesses about her real look, but none have been proven or said yes to by her.
This choice isn't just about keeping secrets. It's also closely linked to her health needs and the lines she's drawn between her public face and private life.
In 2024, Ironmouse hit a big high when she for a short while was the top on Twitch's sub list, getting past Kai Cenat during a big subathon in September. But he got back on top two months later.
While this sudden jump made her known all over, it was just a part of a long trend of power she was making with long charity streams, like a 31-day stream in early 2022 that helped get a lot of money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF).
More than just her online self, Ironmouse often shines a light on health issues, most often Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID), which she deals with herself.
Her work has brought her real-life honors, such as the Plasma Hero Award at the 2024 PI Conference.
In addition to her wins online, like taking Best VTuber at the 2023 Streamer Awards, she also moved into music; she put out a song named Carry On in June 2024, made to back the IDF's learning drives.
In July 2025, well-known VTuber Ironmouse appeared to have broken off a relationship with VShojo, an agency she also co-founded in 2020. In a lengthy accusation, she claimed that VShojo had been retaining substantial income and did not share over $500,000 worth of donations destined to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. She said:
"I believe I am owed a significant amount of funds which I have not been paid. And, most importantly, the thing that hurts me the most is that the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which is the most important charity for me and also the reason I am here today, is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo."
In a YouTube video, Ironmouse spoke to her fans with a strong and serious tone. She shared that she can't talk about some details because of ongoing legal stuff and advice from her lawyer.
She admitted there are bigger reasons for her choice that she can't yet share, but she plans to tell all once she is free to talk.
In her talk, Ironmouse also thought hard about her time at VShojo, sharing that she often felt a silent duty to make sure the company did well.
She said that she felt a deep need to look after others in the place, both the skilled and the team. This made her feel heavy with worry and at times, made her feel bad if she thought about leaving.
Her counsel has since instructed her to be careful in subsequent comments. As opposed to other VTuber agencies like Hololive, where characters and trademarks are often the single property of those companies, VShojo does leave its talents with complete ownership of their personas, and the talents, under such conditions, can continue their careers as an independent entity using the same name.
Her departure contributes to a larger exodus out of the agency, which retains names like Projekt Melody, Kson, and Henya the Genius. VShojo is yet to comment on the claims.
In the last few years, Ironmouse and Connor "CDawgVA" Colquhoun put together over $4 million for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, working together on big events like subathons.
Ironmouse likes to keep her real name out of the public eye for her own and health reasons. She let VShojo, her team, handle her Twitch subathon money to give to this group.
She gave half of her subathon money to help out. In her 2023 subathon, she raised more than $515,000 for the group when she got to 310,000 followers on Twitch.
She had the top record for a while until Kai Cenat got ahead. Now, she says that VShojo didn't send the 2023 money to the group, even though it's been nearly a year since that time.
She has a long-term immune condition and often shares how the group supported her during difficult times.
The negativity has been especially painful for her, since she joined the VTuber community to connect with others and give back to a cause that helped her when she felt alone.
In her latest video, Ironmouse talked about her strong doubts and sadness about her quick move away from her old group.
This marks a big change as she now starts making content on her own. Despite feeling down, she was clear that she will give all ad money from her video to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, a cause she cares about because of her own health issues.
Looking forward, she shared plans for a special charity stream later this month, showing that VTubing can really change things for the better.
Multiple well-known VTubers left VShojo this year, indicating that the nature of the agency is changing. Matara Kan was the first to depart in April, announcing she will not be renewing her contract and will instead become an independent creator starting in May.
GEEGA was not far behind and she declared her termination of affiliation on the 27th of June.
My heart hurts for the VSHOJO Community as I know some of you are very confused and hurt. These have been super confusing months for many of you and I know you’ve all been trying to weather it out.

Support those who you can and please stay strong.
Later that same day, Zentreya, who had been a founder of VShojo, acknowledged her exit, to take effect July 11.
Although the departing talents did not express publicly their criticism of the agency in their statements, Zentreya subsequently admitted that there were more unsolved systemic issues behind the curtain.
Those comments have sparked speculation that internal issues could have influenced the timing and nature of these departures.
