“I don’t play with stuff like that” - Bow Wow reveals if he’s ready to marry Jada Pinkett Smith’s niece Jade Pinkett

Rapper and actor Bow Wow sat down with Shannon Sharpe for the popular podcast Club Shay Shay in which he opened up on his personal life including his relationship with Jade Pinkett, the niece of actress Jada Pinkett Smith. Although he usually keeps his romantic life to himself, Bow Wow did so with candor which gave fans rare insight into the state of his relationship.

During the chat, Sharpe brought up Jade which took Bow Wow off guard and made him admit that he didn’t think Sharpe knew of the relationship. He didn’t go into great detail which some may have hoped he would but Bow Wow did confirm that the relationship is real and that it is a significant one.

One of the notable moments in the interview came when Sharpe questioned Bow Wow about marriage—an idea the artist has traditionally steered away from. In response, Bow Wow revealed that he and Jade have had conversations about the future, and while he's not actively planning a wedding, he no longer rules it out. He emphasized that for him, marriage is a serious commitment, one that involves more than just a personal promise but a spiritual one as well.

“Me and her, we’ve had these talks.” Bow Wow said, “I’m not against anything, but when I get to that point, or if I ever do get to that point, I want to make sure I’m right. And, that’s not only a commitment to [her] that’s a commitment to God. And, I don’t play with stuff like that.”

Though the artist didn’t go in very deep with the subject he did present a change in his point of view. Instead of completely writing off marriage he put forth that he is for it but wants to be sure and fully prepared before doing that. For the time being, Bow Wow reports that he is into living life with Jade which includes travel and quality time together.

The couple first sparked speculation around New Year’s Eve when they appeared together in a cozy photo on social media.

While Bow Wow reposted the image without a caption, Jade’s post hinted at the longevity of their relationship, suggesting they’ve quietly been together for over a year. Despite the photo going viral, both have chosen to keep the relationship largely under wraps.

Bow Wow has had public attention regarding his romance which has included high-profile names like Ciara and Erica Mena in the past. But his relationship with Jade is more private and personal.

Though audiences are still in the dark as to what the future holds for them, Bow Wow is at peace with the present.
