Rock band Black Sabbath will perform their last live show at their Back to the Beginning concert, which will take place in Birmingham, England, on July 5. Geezer Butler, the band's bassist, told The Guardian in a May 2 interview that he got palpitations thinking about their final show.

The 75-year-old, whose real name is Terence Michael Joseph Butler, told the media outlet that he gets nightmares daily due to the pressure of performing well. Butler said that the members want to leave a good last impression.

"I'm already having palpitations. In fact, I had a nightmare last night. I dreamed everything went wrong on stage and we all turned to dust. It's important that we leave a great impression, since it's the final time that people will experience us live. So it has to be great on the night," Butler said.

Geezer Butler shared that he and Ozzy Osbourne stopped speaking after Black Sabbath's The End tour in 2017

In their recent interview with the media outlet, Geezer Butler shared that he stopped talking to Osbourne because his wife, Gloria Butler, and the singer's wife and popular television personality, Sharon Osbourne, allegedly got into a disagreement. The bassist, however, did not reveal the reason behind the two's alleged beef.

"[I] hadn’t spoken to Ozzy since the last Sabbath show in 2017, mainly because his wife and my wife had fallen out over God knows what," Butler stated.

Ozzy Osbourne told the media outlet that after reconnecting over phone calls, he thought Butler would be inclined to perform at their final show since it was taking place at Villa Park, a football stadium in Aston, Birmingham, which is the home of Butler's favourite football club, Aston Villa.

"My first thought was: that'll make Geezer f**king happier," Osbourne said.

Ozzy Osbourne on Black Sabbath's last performance

After almost two decades, the original Black Sabbath lineup, vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward, will perform for the last time.

While talking to The Guardian, the rock band's vocalist said he's been getting special training to perform at the concert. For the unversed, Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019. In recent years, he has had multiple surgeries for his spine injury and a tumor on his vertebrae.

"I do weights, bike riding, I've got a guy living at my house who's working with me. It's tough – I've been laid up for such a long time. I've been lying on my back doing nothing and the first thing to go is your strength. It's like starting all over again," Ozzy Osbourne said.

According to the media outlet, several rock bands will also perform on the day, as Black Sabbath's music inspired them.

Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Mastodon, Tool; members of Judas Priest, Limp Bizkit, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megadeth, Van Halen, Ghost and Faith No More, Soundgarden and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler will perform at the Back to the Beginning concert on July 5.
