Long home to a disproportionate share of prestige TV, FX rebrands itself this week as "FX on Hulu," marking a new partnership between the two Disney-owned properties that will see Hulu become the exclusive streaming home for all of the past and current originals on FX and FXX, as well as a new wave of FX-branded Hulu-exclusive shows. At the head of that new wave of programming is Devs.

The new sci-fi series from Ex Machina and Annihilation filmmaker Alex Garland follows a young software engineer as she begins investigating the mysterious development division at the tech company where she works. The series promises to launch the new FX on Hulu collaboration with a splash, thanks in no small part to its impressive cast. Here's who will be appearing in the show and where you've seen them before:

    Sonoya Mizuno as Lily Chan

Following her role as Kyoko in 2015’s Ex Machina and her motion capture work in 2018’s Annihilation, Devs marks the third time Sonoya Mizuno has worked with Alex Garland. Outside of her collaborations with Garland, Mizuno has also appeared in La La Land, Crazy Rich Asians, and Netflix’s Maniac. In Devs, Mizuno plays Lily Chan, a software engineer working at the cutting edge tech company Amaya, who becomes suspicious that her employer may have played a role in her boyfriend’s death.

    Nick Offerman as Forest

Nick Offerman forever earned a place in the hearts and minds of TV viewers with his turn as Ron Swanson in Parks & Recreation. That iconic performance resulted in him earning a fair amount of other work in both film and TV, including roles in Fargo, The LEGO Movies 1 & 2, Hearts Beat Loud, The Kings of Summer, The Founder, and Good Omens. Devs will feature Offerman playing against type as he takes on the role of Forest, the secretive and possibly nefarious CEO of Amaya, who directs all of his focus to the work being done in the company’s development division.

    Alison Pill as Katie

Pill has been pulling in consistent film and TV work since the late 90s, with roles in films like Milk, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Midnight in Paris, Snowpiercer, and Vice. Thanks to recurring roles in The Newsroom and the seventh season of American Horror Story, her TV work has been equally memorable. She’s currently appearing in the first season of CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Picard. On Devs, Pill takes on the role of Katie, a quantum physicist working as Forest’s no. 2 at Amaya.

    Karl Glusman as Sergei

Karl Glusman has appeared in several independent films over the past few years, including roles in the Gaspar Noé-directed Love, Nicolas Winding Refn’s The Neon Demon, and Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals. He also had a recurring role in Netflix’s short-lived original series Gypsy. On Devs, Glusman plays Lily’s boyfriend, Sergei, who also works at Amaya as an artificial intelligence coder.

    Stephen McKinley Henderson as Stewart

Thanks to memorable roles in films like Fences, Lady Bird, Manchester by the Sea, and Lincoln, Henderson has emerged as one of the more recognizable character actors of the past decade. The veteran performer has also appeared in shows like Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Proven Innocent, Fear the Walking Dead, The Blacklist, The Resident, Elementary and The Newsroom. On Devs, he plays Stewart, one of the top workers in Amaya’s development division.

    Zach Grenier as Kenton

Perhaps best known for playing Edward Norton’s boss in Fight Club, Grenier has also had noteworthy roles in Deadwood, 24, The Good Wife, The Good Fight, and Ray Donovan. Here, Grenier plays Kenton, the head of security at Amaya.

    Cailee Spaeny as Lyndon

Up-and-comer Cailee Spaeny has already raked in a few impressive credits, with roles in films like Pacific Rim: Uprising, Bad Times at the El Royale, On the Basis of Sex, and Vice. Devs marks her first TV role, in which she plays Lyndon, a brilliant young employee operating in Amaya’s development division.

    Jin Ha as Jamie

Jin Ha is a relative newcomer to Hollywood, with only 6 credits to his name, including Devs. He played Annas in NBC’s live performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, and appeared in the Steve Coogan-led film Hot Air. On Devs, he plays Jamie, a skilled cyber security expert who is also Lily's former boyfriend.

Devs premieres exclusively on FX on Hulu Thursday, March 5.
