Celebrity Jeopardy! Fans Slam Hasan Minhaj for 'Painful' Episode

Not everyone was a fan of Hasan Minhaj's performance on Celebrity Jeopardy! last night. 

The comedian went up against Wil Wheaton and Troian Bellisario on the quiz show and drew ire from fans for answering questions in a goofy nature and mugging into the camera. While Minhaj's attempts to bring some levity into the game seemed harmless, viewers took to Twitter to dub the Patriot Act host "annoying" and "painful".

"I can't believe I watched," wrote one user. "I can't stand this guy named Hasan," said another.

His enthusiastic performance may have grated some fans, but others enjoyed Minhaj's silly schtick. "Tonight's Celebrity Jeopardy was too funny. S/O to Hasan Minhaj," wrote one fan. Another crowned him the "funniest Jeopardy! player of all time."

Minhaj played to raise money for the International Rescue Committee, an organization aiding the humanitarian effort for the victims of the catastrophic flooding in Pakistan. He finished the evening in third place. Wheaton will advance onto the semifinals.
