Abbott Elementary Staff Heads to Class With Confidence in Season 2 Promo

The second season of the hit comedy premieres September 21.
  • It's back-to-school season for ABC's Emmy-nominated comedy Abbott Elementary. On Wednesday, the first promo for Seas was released, showcasing everyone's favorite school staff members sauntering into a new school year.

Backed by Boyz II Men's "Motownphilly," Janine Teagues (Quinta Brunson), Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams), Ava Coleman (Janelle James), Melissa Schemmenti (Lisa Ann Walter), Barbara Howard (Sheryl Lee Ralph), and Jacob Hill (Chris Perfetti) strut confidently down the street, each prepping for the school day in their own unique way.

When the group reaches the door of Willard R. Abbott Elementary School, Ava can't get the door unlocked. "These new keys I made must be too thick. I blame the locks, honestly," she tells her co-workers.

"Well, what if we take this time to have a heartfelt discussion about what we're excited about in the new year?" replied Janine, prompting eye rolls from her fellow staff members.

Abbott Elementary has been a hit since it premiered in late 2021. The show has become a winner with both critics and audiences and earned seven nominations at the upcoming Emmy Awards.

Abbott Elementary Season 2 premieres September 21 on ABC and will be available to stream next-day on Hulu.
