In 2000, Galifianakis was briefly a writer on Saturday Night Live and host/musical guest Spears was age 18 when he pitched two sketches that were rejected, he said on the Literally! With Rob Lowe podcast. Galifianakis' idea was to have Ferrell play a security guard inside Britney’s belly button. "I feel like a tumbleweed went right across the writer’s room table, and a cricket riding it,” he said of the rejected pitch.
