The golf icon was set to film a second day of a two-day shoot for his GolfTV and Discovery+ docuseries when he crashed his car on Tuesday morning, suffering major injuries, according to the Los Angeles Times. Woods was scheduled to meet with director Peter Berg and NFL quarterbacks Drew Brees and Justin Herbert for Tuesday's shoot. Berg was directing the episode. The day before, Woods filmed segments with David Spade, Jada Pinkett Smith and Dwyane Wade. As The Times notes, Discovery usually arranges to have professional drivers deliver talent to film shoots. But Woods has a reputation for preferring to drive himself to golf events. "We shot with Tiger yesterday and he was charming, giving and full of life," Berg wrote on Instagram late Tuesday. "He was professional and f*cking awesome. Today he didn’t make it to set and we are a heartbroken crew. Tiger told me yesterday that he is 'never out of the fight' I believe him. Tiger is a fighter and a different type of man. We are sending Tiger our love and deep admiration. He has brought us all so much joy and his life force will carry him through this. Dig deep and pull for Tiger Woods." ALSO: Fans say Woods looked exhausted and "zoned out" during a CBS Sports interview Sunday with Jim Nantz.
