S.W.A.T. Season 4 will kick off by flashing back to the 1992 L.A. Riots

The flashback episode showing a teenage version of Shemar Moore's character Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson and his dad was originally supposed to end Season 3, timed to the 28th anniversary of the riots, or uprising. But coming months after the unrest following George Floyd's killing at the hands of Minneapolis police, the season premiere is even more relevant. S.W.A.T. has cast Donald Dash as a teenage version of Moore's Hondo and Rico E. Anderson as his dad in the flashback scenes.
