Robert Rodriguez's female-led Zorro series moves from NBC to The CW

The gender-swapped reimagining of the classic masked vigilante character, first announced in 2020 as a potential NBC series, has been put into development at The CW. This is a new incarnation of the project co-written by Robert Rodriguez and his sister Rebecca Rodriguez with Sofia Vergara on board as executive producer. The CW version has also added Mayans MC writer Sean Tretta.
