PETA calls for New York City's Department of Health to investigate The Tonight Show over celebrities' handling of animals

The animal rights organization is up in arms over NBC's hiring of Grant Kemmerer of Wild World of Animals for the late-night show's animal segments. According to PETA, only Kemmerer is allowed to handle animals. But he has been involved in several segments allowing celebrities like Kate Beckinsale, Robert Irwin and Jacob Anderson to touch animals.
