NBC Universal's CEO reportedly mulled replacing Chuck Todd on Meet the Press with Nicolle Wallace

New York Times' Ben Smith says NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell "floated" the idea of Wallace taking over the iconic Sunday morning news show. But an NBC executive tells him Todd “has led the Sunday news-making and ratings battles for five years at the helm of Meet the Press and will continue to do so.” MSNBC announced last week that Todd's MTP Daily would move to a new timeslot while Wallace's Deadline: White House would expand to two hours.
