Chuck Todd branches out into scripted shows with a Peacock presidential assassin anthology series

The Meet the Press host and NBC News political director will executive produce American Assassin, an anthology series about presidential assassinations and attempts. American Assassin will be written by Billions and The Good Wife vet Adam Perlman. American Assassin is described as a “two-hander true crime anthology” that dives into the singular minds of American presidents and the people who tried to knock them from their perch, with Season 1 focusing on the assassination of President James A. Garfield in 1881.
