Locke & Key finally gets a greenlight after eight years of development

Netflix announced that it is moving forward with the series based on the Joe Hill comic book, a decision made two months after Hulu surprisingly passed on the pilot. Carlton Cuse will serve as showrunner. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, "with the Netflix series order, Locke & Key has crossed the finish line to series pickup for the first time since it was initially put in development eight years ago," when it was originally made as a pilot for Fox.
