Rae has a message for fans of Jay Ellis: "Look, Lawrence Hive, if you keep in touch with your exes every single day then by all means continue to protest. But if you're the type to cut exes off and move on, then shut the f*ck up." Meanwhile, showrunner Prentice Penny explains how the writers' room decided to dump Lawrence from Season 3: "For us in the room, it was hard to force him into a story. Once we said, 'Maybe he’s not in the season,' it kind of became, 'Whoa, wow, what does that mean then?' Once that domino dropped, it just opened us up in so many other ways of how we tell stories."
