Drunk History creator Derek Waters hopes to find a new home, says "we were halfway through Season 7" when canceled

“It’s an unfortunate reality that there won’t be another season,” Waters tells Deadline of the cancelation after six seasons, despite being renewed for Season 7. “We were halfway through Season 7 and we abruptly stopped for obvious reasons of COVID, and unfortunately we’re told we’re not coming back.” However, despite that stoppage, Waters tells Deadline “maybe Drunk History will go somewhere else.”
