Disney+ announces two Star Wars spinoffs of The Mandalorian: Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced that Rosario Dawson will star in Ahsoka, revolving around her Star Wars fan favorite character Ahsoka Tano, which recently debuted on The Mandalorian. A second series will revolve around the Rangers of the New Republic. Kennedy said the two series will cross over with future Mandalorian seasons and culminate in a “climactic story event.” The announcement comes shortly after Disney announced plans to release 10 new Star Wars series in the coming years.
