Discovery+ docuseries to delve into the Hillsong Church scandal

The streamer has ordered Breaking Hillsong, a three-episode docuseries about the controversial Australia-based megachurch that is famous for its celebrity attendees. The docuseries will also focus on celebrity pastor Carl Lentz, who was fired amid an infidelity scandal. Breaking Hillsong will be made in partnership with the New York Post and investigative journalist Hannah Frishberg, who has written a series of articles on Hillsong and Lentz. Earlier this year, Vanity Fair announced it was working on its own Hillsong docuseries based on its reporting.
