Christina Ricci will compete for best supporting actress for her Yellowjackets role

Variety reports that Ricci won't join the fellow actresses who play the adult versions of the Yellowjackets characters -- Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis and Melanie Lynskey -- in the lead actress in a drama series Emmy submission. Instead, Ricci will be submitted for the supporting actress role along with the actresses who play the younger version of their characters. The move is likely to boost Ricci's chances for an Emmy.
