Chicago P.D. enlists Nicole Ari Parker to tackle police reform

The Empire alum will recur on Season 8 as a deputy superintendent who is “a progressive, ardent proponent of police reform." Making her debut in the season premiere, Parker's storyline is seemingly in response to the police brutality protests over the summer.
