CW boss on ending Supernatural: We had a “very, very long, sad, heartbreaking discussion”

After conversations with stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, as well as Warner Bros. TV president Peter Roth, "we all came to understand what the guys wanted to do,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz at the TV press tour. He explained that Ackles and Padalecki wanted to go out while the show was “still relevant.” The two actors also wanted to spend more time with their family and see “what else was out in the world." Pedowitz then added, jokingly: “If you can convince them to come back, I’m open."
