Amazon's Lord of the Rings is close to tapping its first cast member

Variety reports that Australian actress Markella Kavenagh is in talks to join the epic fantasy series. "Details of Kavenagh’s characters are being kept under wraps, but sources say she would be playing a character named Tyra," reports Variety. Kavenagh has a few acting credits, including Australia's Romper Stomper sequel series.
