A Jeff Probst ‘Survivor’ candle was one of the hottest sellers last holiday season thanks to the pandemic

The quarantine not only boosted the popularity of old Survivor episodes, but made the Jeff Probst prayer candle a big seller on Etsy, eclipsing the Chris Harrison prayer candle. Even The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan has one. "The Probst candle’s popularity is about more than just universal thirst for a buff daddy Probst," explains Joseph Longo. "It’s representative of how the pandemic changed content merchandise: With weddings postponed, birthdays subsided and graduations canceled, novelty merchandise (alongside plants) are the new celebratory gift — or, most recently, 'get well soon' flowers."
