The dead body of influencer Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña, who goes by "China Baby" on TikTok, has been found in a water plant in Lima, Peru. Her mutilated body was found on June 9, 2025. She was 19 years old at the time of passing.

According to The Mirror's June 28, 2025, report, Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña is from Venezuela. Her family told the press that Piña left the country with her ex-boyfriend, Meiner Jimenez Castillo, in 2022, when she was 16. They claimed she didn't inform anyone before leaving.

"They both left peacefully. She never told us she was leaving. She just left, and that was it," her family stated.

Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña's dead body was mutilated and was discovered when it was found stuck in a water filtration grid of the plant. Some parts of the body are still missing. According to The Mirror's report, on June 7, 2025, "China Baby" Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña's cousin filed a missing person complaint.

The authorities confirmed the influencer's identity with her various tattoos, including one that reads, "Paula Sophia."

Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña has nearly 5,000 followers on TikTok, and her last video was uploaded on June 5, 2025, four days before her body was found.

The ex-boyfriend of Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña, also known as China Baby, passed away in 2022

According to The Mirror's report, Meiner Jimenez Castillo, "China Baby" Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña's former boyfriend, passed away in 2022, months after the two left Venezuela.

The TikTok influencer's former partner, Castillo, was 21 years older than her. His body was found in a flat in the Huaycán district of Villa El Salvador. At first, the investigators suspected his death to be a murder case; however, later, the lack of evidence led them to speculate that it was an act of suicide. The case remains unresolved to this day.

The media outlet also reported that Castillo's family suspected Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña was supposedly involved in his death. But the speculation never reached court. Piña also allegedly received backlash and harassment from both her ex-boyfriend's family and from the netizens, as they reportedly blamed her and her rumored lover for allegedly killing Meiner Jimenez Castillo.

Peruvian authorities suspect that the death of the TikTok influencer could be an act of revenge, a case of human trafficking, or a method of criminal organizations sending warnings to their victims, as the media outlet reported that Piña worked in nightclubs and bars, which are reportedly controlled by Venezuelan gangs.

The police officers believe that the night China Baby was murdered, she was tortured and beaten before being dumped in the Rímac River, from which she eventually washed up in the water plant. Cigarette burn marks were found on her body.

According to Argentinian media outlet Infobae's June 19, 2025, report, after "China Baby," Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña's body was found, a relative of hers identified her at the Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dirincri). Piña's case has been transferred from the homicide division to the human trafficking division.

An investigation is currently ongoing, as authorities are looking into CCTV footage. There are no suspects so far, and no one has been arrested.
