Lego Masters season 5 aired its finale on July 28, 2025, on FOX, ending a season full of creative and challenging builds.

In the final episode, the top three teams: Sage and Ian, Anthony and Joe, and Ben and Michael, took on a 24-hour build challenge with no rules on theme or design. Each team had full freedom to create their biggest and best LEGO build yet.

Sage and Ian were announced as the winners of Lego Masters season 5. The brother-sister team impressed the Brickmasters with their fairy tale-themed build called “Our Story.”

Their win earned them $100,000, a LEGO trophy, and the title of Lego Masters season 5 champions.

“The clock is ticking and the pressure is ON!” said a post from the official Lego Masters X account during the finale, showing how intense the challenge was.

Anthony and Joe finished in third place, while Ben and Michael came in second. All three teams had performed well throughout the season, which made the final decision a tough one.

Sage and Ian win Lego Masters with personal, wizard-themed master build

Sage and Ian won the top prize in the Lego Masters season 5 finale with their final build called “Our Story.”

The build had a wizard theme and told a personal story, showing both their building skills and their bond as siblings.

During the season, the brother-sister team faced several challenges but managed to give their best performance in the finale.

Their final build stood out to the Brickmasters, who praised the team for their storytelling, creativity, and the way they brought everything together.

The build showed a magical world that reflected their journey as a team. While some fans on social media questioned whether the build had mass appeal, others commended the emotional connection and visual design.

The Brickmasters noted that despite its niche focus, the structure was “well thought out and technically sound.”

The winning moment was confirmed through a post shared by Sage on Instagram, shortly after the episode aired, celebrating their win and expressing gratitude for the experience.

The final judgment reflected a balance between narrative strength and construction ability, as Sage and Ian’s design stood out for both personal depth and execution.

Despite being considered underdogs earlier in this season of Lego Masters, the duo’s finale performance ultimately earned them the grand prize and official LEGO Masters title.

Anthony and Joe’s ‘Ballerina’ build praised by fans, falls short of win in Lego Masters

Anthony and Joe finished third with their finale build titled “Ballerina,” a moving and emotional creation that received significant attention from fans during the broadcast.

Known for their strong mechanical builds throughout the season, the duo opted for a more artistic and sentimental approach in the final.

Their design featured a spinning ballerina figure, supported by technical elements and a well-constructed stage.

Many viewers online expressed surprise that the team did not place higher. One user commented,

“That ballerina was stunning — I thought it would win.”

Another post read, “If LEGO was choosing a set to sell, this would be it.” While the commercial appeal of builds is not an official judging factor, fans have often speculated that it plays a subtle role in the decision-making process.

Brickmasters acknowledged the elegance and technical ambition of Anthony and Joe’s design but ultimately found that Sage and Ian’s build had more cohesion in story and structure.

“It’s beautiful and emotionally strong, but some elements didn’t connect as seamlessly as we hoped,” one judge said.

The team had earlier gained attention for their theme park semifinal build, which showcased their ability to blend storytelling with movement.

However, the finale demanded a unified concept executed under extreme time pressure.
