90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days alum Laura finally flew to Turkey and met Birkan after a long wait. The two met on Snapchat and have been talking for a while. 

As the long wait finally comes to an end, Birkan and Laura finally meet and embrace in a long hug. Laura expresses her happiness as she looks at the camera and says, 

“He looks amazing, exactly the aesthetic that I've been describing, which is dark romance, male main character.”

When producers asked Birkan how it feels to meet Kaura face to face, Birkan said, 

“She is perfect, I don't need to look at her because I feel it, you know. I am complete, so we don't need to see.”

However, their initial excitement soon gave way to a gradual awkwardness between the couple. Laura has been talking about Birkan acting a bit differently. She talked about his changed behaviour:

“I don't know, maybe he is hiding something. Maybe he is just not attracted to me in person.”

After Laura flew to Turkey and finally met Birkan, it seemed like the pair could not bond as they had online. 

“I feel like something is really wrong. It’s like he doesn’t know who I am. And I don’t know who he is.”

After Laura and Birkan spent time together, there was a growing awkwardness between them as Laura mentioned her good friend Michael, saying, 

"It is so ironic and kind of concerning that I am receiving more attention from Michael than from the man I flew halfway across the world to meet. I am just kind of questioning why I am here at this point."

Birkan calls Laura and Michael’s friendship “unacceptable”

Birkan raised concerns about Laura's close friendship with her best friend, Michael. He admitted that their closeness bothers him:

“They do everything together, and sometimes she even compares me to him. This is what I am afraid of. It’s just totally unacceptable to me. I want her to end the friendship. I don’t want to control someone else. I don’t trust Michal.”

Laura’s mother had inquired earlier about the age gap, as Laura soon revealed that she and Birkan have a twenty-year age difference. Her mother quickly responded by saying,

“Oh, my God! Laura, are you serious? He wants a ticket to America. That’s what I think he is thinking. He doesn’t love you. That’s not what love is. You haven’t even met this guy yet. You had a conversation with an unknown entity. It’s more like ten giant red flags. You actually think there’s a possibility that this could work and be a lifelong commitment?”

Before meeting Laura, Birkan discussed his financial struggles with his best friends, Memo and Tugba. He said: 

“When my football career is over, I opened a couple of businesses, eventually everything failed, and I couldn’t find a proper job. She knows I have some troubles, but she doesn’t know how severe they are. There’s a lot to talk about.”
