90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 8 episode 4 recap: Jovon questions his marriage, Laura meets Birkan and secrets surface

The latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8, which aired on Sunday, December 28, 2025, on TLC, featured couples meeting for the first time, grappling with trust issues, sharing emotional confessions and engaging in major confrontations.

In episode 4, titled “It’s Going to Be a Bumpy Ride,” Laura finally lands in Turkey to meet Birkan, and she senses distance the moment she and Birkan sit quietly together.

Forrest and Sheena face off with his mom, Molly, who confronts Sheena over some serious lies about money, while Forrest defends her.

Meanwhile, Lisa also heads to Nigeria to meet Daniel and Jovon, second-guessing his quickie marriage to Annalyn, and Emma pushes Ziad in Morocco to open up about her history as the episode unfolds, addressing issues in the relationships.

Here's what happened in the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8

Laura meets Birkan in Turkey

Laura touches down in Turkey, feeling super nervous about her appearance after 14 months of online chatting, and changes into a cute dress because she feels like a "hot mess."

Birkan's hyped, ironing his outfit obsessively and thrilled about the Airbnb she rented, calling it "the most important day actually in my life" and hoping for an engagement soon.

She spots him early at the airport: "Oh my god, she come early," and he greets her with "Welcome, gorgeous." They hug and kiss, but on the train ride, things turn awkward fast.

Laura confesses, "I don't know what's happening. It's very awkward right now... something is off, and it's freaking me out," even though Birkan gushes she's "perfect" and makes him feel "complete."

Birkan's all in, dreaming of America, but Laura's already sensing the online spark fading.

Molly grills Sheena on her Lies, Forrest steps up

Molly doesn't hold back with Sheena and Forrest, first poking about their bedroom noises as they are travelling in a car to tour the Philippines:

"Did uh you guys uh do the old uh nookie nookie?"

Sheena shuts it down, "No. No, no, no, no," and Forrest calls it disrespectful, defending her privacy.

But the real fireworks hit when Molly confronts Sheena about secretly giving money to her parents instead of saving for America:

"You lied to us about giving your parents the money... Why have you lied to us all along?"

Sheena explains it's cultural as the "breadwinner," but admits her mom's guilt-tripping made her hide it out of fear:

"I was so fearful of my bears. They would say bad things to me."

Molly pushes for straight answers, spotting "manipulation with the tears," while Sheena breaks down. Forrest jumps in later, backing her up, noting,

"I believe Sheena is not trying to lie... It's hard for me to take up for her against you."

He urges getting her away from her parents, and Sheena agrees she's "willing to take the risk to confront my parents." Molly sees Forrest as blinded, but the dinner ends in chaos, with everyone stressed.

Emma and Ziad's shopping date turns tense

Emma and Ziad hit a bustling Moroccan market for a fun shopping spree, where he spoils her with wallets as "my gift to you," leading to sweet air kisses.

However, the cultural difference is evident. They try snails, which proved to be Emma's nightmare, as she says,

"That is the grossest thing I've ever seen," and laugh off differences like sushi, while also going on romantic horse rides.

But after yesterday's fight, Emma wants to share her past as she says, 

"Don't you want to know about my life? Just like things I've been through... You don't know everything."

Ziad brushes it off repeatedly, saying, "I know everything about your life... we can leave the impass."

She thinks it's the only way to move forward from her last engagement, but worries he's hiding something too:

"Since I've gotten to Morocco, I've just felt really rejected by him."
