“The first song out the gates that felt good, felt positive” — Adam Levine says he penned new song ‘Priceless’ for wife Behati Prinsloo

Levine shared that Priceless was the first song he penned for the upcoming Maroon 5 album. The singer also revealed that he wrote it for his wife, Behati Prinsloo, a former Victoria's Secret model.
"It was the first song that I wrote for the album. It's just this really fun, Summery, chill vibe song that always felt really good. The song kind of, you know, being about my wife, was the first song out the gates that felt good, felt positive, really positive, and fun. It's hard to explain, but it just instantly hit me," Levine stated.
Then Levine discussed Lisa's verse in the song, saying she was the perfect "something extra" the song needed. He praised the K-pop star by saying she elevated the track.
"Lisa coming on the song, like, literally elevated it even more, which is amazing, and it kind of needed something extra, and she was like the perfect something extra at the perfect moment," the singer said.
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo's relationship timeline explored
In January 2019, Behati Prinsloo told Net-a-Porter that she and Adam Levine met through a mutual friend in 2012. The singer was looking for a model for his music video, and the mutual friend suggested Prinsloo. While she did not take the gig, the two stars stayed in contact over email and met a month later.
According to the People's report dated July 22, 2024, the couple briefly separated in May 2013. However, in July 2013, they got together and got engaged. The couple married on July 19, 2014, at Flora Farms in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
On September 21, 2016, their daughter, Dusty Rose Levine, was born. On February 15, 2018, the couple's second daughter, Gio Grace Levine, was born. In June 2019, the model told TODAY that she went through postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughters; however, Adam Levine helped her through it.
"I had moments of postpartum that I felt like it was coming through, but my husband was so incredibly supportive and always got me out of it. I think it's very normal, though, as a young mom and a new mom, to feel helpless and to feel over-emotional. I think I got lucky not to have it to an extreme case," Prinsloo said.
On September 6, 2022, a source close to the couple stated they were expecting a third baby. The same month, Instagram influencer Sumner Stroh claimed she and Levine were allegedly involved in a year-long affair. On September 20, 2022, the singer addressed the cheating allegation and released his statement on his Instagram story.
While Adam Levine denied having an affair, he admitted having "flirtatious" conversations with the influencer. Calling it "regrettable," Levine stated that he would work on his relationship with his wife and focus on their family.
"I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life," Adam Levine wrote.
On September 23, 2022, a source close to the couple told People that Behati Prinsloo was hurt because of Adam Levine's actions. However, they decided to stay together because of their children.
"She isn't happy with Adam, but she is very much about being positive. She just doesn't believe in drama. Adam keeps being very apologetic. He puts no blame on her and admits that he enjoyed the attention. He'll be the first one to say that he acted like a moron. They are working on their marriage and plan on staying together," the source stated.
On January 28, 2023, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo welcomed their son.
