Project Runway Returns for Season 18 With a Mandate: Make it Work

According to some reports, Project Runway returns for its second season back on Bravo (its 18th overall), teetering on the edge of cancelation.  Although by most measures last season wasn’t bad, as Primetimer's resident Runway expert Kevin O’Keefe writes, it needs to be great and he’s got some ideas for how it can get there. Also today: a virtual blizzard of holiday movies, reality dating in warm climates, and good ole Charlie Brown. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

SEASON PREMIERE: Sixteen new contestants enter the fray as Project Runway kicks off its 18th season. Karlie Kloss returns as host, with Christian Siriano back in the Tim Gunn role. 9:30 PM ET on Bravo

ORIGINAL MOVIE: Netflix has quietly grown into a holiday powerhouse over the last few years, with its Christmas Prince series leading their jolly assault on the season. A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby — the third installment in the series — finds the royal couple awaiting a special delivery, not from Santa but from the Stork. Watch the preview. SEASON PREMIERE: Returning for its second season, the anthology series Tell Me a Story is tackling the tales of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. Watch the preview. Streaming on CBS All Access

ORIGINAL MOVIE: Olivia Henderson (Glee's Lea Michele) met her childhood sweetheart Jeff (Charles Michael Davis) during her family's traditional holiday trip to Hawaii years ago. In Same Time, Next Christmas the old flames meet again at the same locale, and history seems destined to repeat itself. Bryan Greenberg and Nia Vardalos co-star. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

HOLIDAY SPECIAL: Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang celebrate the season in A Charlie Brown Christmas. The holiday favorite will be followed by a collection of new Peanuts shorts based on classic comic strips. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

HOLIDAY SPECIAL: SNL presents A Saturday Night Live Christmas, featuring a collection of classic holiday skits and digital shorts. 9:00 PM ET on NBC
