Abubakar Salim Begs Fans to Save Raised By Wolves Amid HBO Max Cancellation

HBO Max has canceled Raised By Wolves, a representative confirmed in a statement to Primetimer on Friday.

News of the cancellation first broke after Abubakar Salim, who plays android Father, tweeted a lengthy "call to action" early Friday asking fans to voice their support for the series as producers search for a new streaming hoome.

It’s not surprising, especially after the news of the mergers and what is happening at Warner, that a lot of shows are not having their stories finished.

"Call to action #RenewRaisedByWolves," tweeted Salim. "It's not surprising, especially after the news of the mergers and what is happening at Warner, that a lot of shows are not having their stories finished." He continued, "And unfortunately, one of those shows is Raised by Wolves. Nothing has been publicly shared yet. And there is a reason for that. An important one. One which I'm here to share with you now. There is hope."

Salim went on to tell fans that a storyline has been "fully fleshed out and planned" for another season, adding, "The reason the cancellation hasn't been announced, and that's because there's still a chance the story can continue, and be finished at a new home."

Salim called on fans to "continue to, and with even more vigor, show that genuine love here, there, and everywhere as we search for that new home."

HBO told Primetimer in a statement, "While we are not proceeding with a third season of Raised by Wolves, we are beyond grateful to the stellar cast and crew, our creators Aaron Guzikowski, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, and the entire team at Scott Free Productions, for their beautiful artistry and unique ability to immerse fans into the world of Kepler-22b."

Raised By Wolves, executive produced by Ridley Scott, follows two androids who must raise human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the growing colony of humans is torn apart by religious differences, the androids discover that controlling human beliefs is no easy feat. Seasons 1 and 2 of Raised By Wolves are available to stream on HBO Max.
