“I’d love to have this president, if he’d read the script as written!” co-creator James L. Brooke said at a 30th-anniversary panel for The Simpsons at the Tribeca Film Festival. Brooks noted that The Simpsons has never had a U.S. president as a guest-star. Brooks also weighed in on new owner Disney. “For us, I think to be honest about it, it’s been energizing,” he said. “It’s like being forced out of college or something…I still think you can do everything we want”
