Wipeout contestant died of a heart attack, autopsy reveals

The Los Angeles County coroner ruled that 38-year-old Michael Paredes, who was hospitalized and later died after collapsing during filming the TBS reality show last November, died from a heart attack which was brought on by coronary artery disease. TMZ reports "production sources told us 'Wipeout' contestants underwent medical exams before participating ... and the autopsy notes Paredes had no reported medical history."
