Willie Geist says Matt Lauer is doing “as good as he can be” following his Today firing

“I've texted with him just on a personal level,” the Sunday Today host tells ET. “It was his birthday the other day, his 60th birthday.” Geist adds that Lauer is “sort of reconnecting with his family and figuring everything out.” Geist says he’s also happy for Hoda Kotb. “They’re both my honest-to-goodness friends. I’m so happy for Hoda,” he says.
