Will & Grace wanted to pay tribute to Debbie Reynolds and her character

Last night's episode honored Reynolds, who appeared in 10 episodes as Grace's mom. "It was very important to Debra Messing that we address both the character, Bobbi Adler, and the woman, Debbie Reynolds," says co-creator Max Mutchnick. "We loved her and miss her. She was a fantastic part of the show and she would have been a part of the revival, but, you know, such is life." ALSO: Will & Grace managed to wring comedy from grief.
