Wanda Sykes backs Hannah Gadsby, Michelle Wolf takes the other side in Netflix-Dave Chappelle debate

“Now that’s what you call, ‘punching up!’” Sykes, who made her most recent standup special for Netflix said in the comments to Gadsby's Instagram post that excoriated Netflix's Ted Sarandos for including her name as an example of the streamer's inclusion while defending Chappelle's The Closer. Wolf defended Chappelle, her close friend and a part of his comedy crew. “Correct. There isn’t one,” Wolf wrote, referring to Gadsby’s comment about “crossing a line,” adding, “You’re catching on.” After Gadsby replied, “I thought the line is that you can’t make fun of comedy?” Wolf shot back, “Ah yes, I forgot, you hold the one true definition of stand up.” Wolf's comments were apparently later deleted.
