TiVo to introduce skippable pre-roll ads before DVR recordings

The industry trade publication Light Reading reports that the ads will become a "permanent part of the service" within the next 90 days. The news has ticked off some TiVo owners, who don't want to see ads on their recordings, even though they'll be skippable. The pre-ad rolls are set to be added to TiVo devices running TiVo Experience 4.
