The Wire creator David Simon calls President Trump a "racist moron" over his slamming of Baltimore

The president attacked Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings on Saturday by calling his Baltimore district a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess." Simon, the former Baltimore Sun reporter behind HBO's Baltimore-set critically acclaimed The Wire and The Corner, went after Trump on Saturday via Twitter. “If this empty-suit, race-hating fraud had to actually visit West Baltimore for five minutes and meet any of the American citizens who endure there, he’d wet himself,” Simon tweeted.
