The Rolling Stones are poised to get the scripted drama series treatment at FX from Nick Hornby

FX boss John Landgraf revealed at Disney's Investor Day that the cable network is in advanced talks for a scripted drama series on the formation of the iconic rock band, focusing on the period between the early 1960s through 1972. Landgraf said High Fidelity author Hornby would oversee the series, which would get a two-season order. The Rolling Stones series would be from Left Bank Pictures, the production company behind The Crown.
