The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance director saved the puppets from a fire

Louis Leterrier was working alone in editing halfway through production when he smelled smoke on the set. When the firefighters went in, they almost immediately ran out because they were spooked by all the puppet eyes. So Leterrier ran in and saved the puppets himself.  "It was death-defying heroism," says co-executive producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach. "It was like somebody from Backdraft. It was amazing."
