The Daily Show could see a boost as late-night talk shows take the rest of the summer off from Trump news

    President Trump has made what was supposed to be the slowest month of the year into one of the most newsworthy. Since August is supposed to be slow, nearly every late-night shows scheduled vacations for the two weeks before Labor Day weekend. But since The Daily Show opted to take its break during the past two eventful weeks, Trevor Noah is primed to have an exclusive on the next Trump news cycle. (Conan O’Brien is the only other late-night host working this week, but he’ll be off next week.) PLUS: The Emmys need to bring back the hilarious late-night writers’ nominee videos.
