TV show rewatch podcasts are all the rage, with many devoted to Lost

Joshua Malina's The West Wing Weekly seems to have inspired fans of shows like Ally McBeal, Veronica Mars and Battlestar Galactica to launch podcasts delving into each episode. Recently, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey launched the Office Ladies podcast for The Office fans. But Lost still sparks a lot of interest with more than a half a dozen podcasts. “Podcasts mimic the broadcast schedule with regular episode releases (often weekly), so they can recreate some of the structure that traditional schedules provided,” says film and media professor Jason Mittell in an email interview with the Los Angeles Times' Sammy Roth, who co-hosts a Lost podcast. “Plus even though they are not interactive, the conversational basis of podcasts feels more like chatting with friends than reading an episode review/recap.”
