Study: Strong female characters outnumber male lead characters more than two to one

Research group Ampere Analysis found that of 251 network dramas currently in development or in production, 42% have a strong female lead while 20% have a male lead. The remaining 38% have no single lead character. The study also found that NBC and The CW have the strongest lead female drama character representation.
