Steve Carell: I didn't get a chance to "red-flag" The Morning Show trailer's connection to The Office

Apple's official trailer for The Morning Show features Supertramp’s “Goodbye Stranger,” which reminded many Office fans of Carell's Michael Scott parodying the song with "Goodbye Toby" in Season 4. "Oh, my gosh, when I saw that trailer I was like, somebody should have called me and said, 'Do you want to flag anything about this?'" Carell tells EW with a laugh. "I was like, 'Guys, you can’t put that in the trailer and not have people raise one or two eyebrows.'" Carell adds that he doesn't believe the song was used on purpose.
