Some of The Sandlot stars are surprised by the director's announcement he's making a TV sequel series

Writer-director David Mickey Evans announced on The Rain Delay podcast last week he had a deal with an unnamed streaming service to revive his 1993 coming-of-age baseball movie as a TV sequel series with the original cast. The announcement was news to two of the film's stars, Patrick Renna and Victor DiMattia, who expressed surprise on social media. "I feel like an NBA player who just found out he was traded... on Twitter. News to me," tweeted Renna.
