The Sandlot director: A TV series sequel is in the works at a streaming service

David Mickey Evans, the director and narrator of the 1993 coming-of-age baseball comedy film, said recently on the podcast The Rain Delay that he has sold the rights to a sequel TV series to a streaming network, featuring the original cast members as adults with children of their own in 1984. While Evans wouldn't specify which streaming service, he said he's received a two-season order.
