Many viewers used #TheNevers hashtag to express their frustration with being caught off guard by Whedon's credits on the series. Of course, Whedon's involvement wasn't exactly a secret since his creation of the series and his exit last fall generated headlines. But HBO's marketing campaign was practically misleading in not mentioning that he created the show.
