Showtime’s White Famous has an interesting premise, but it’s weighed down by “penile self-obsession”

The comedy starring SNL allum Jay Pharoah and produced by Jamie Foxx “should be better than it is,” says Sonia Saraiya, who adds: “Though the show finds moments for sharp commentary about black men in the industry, those are suffocated by scenes in which the presumably male viewer is invited, with (Pharoah's character) Floyd, to stare at a pair of t*ts.”
