Showtime orders Black Monday, a 1980s-set comedy starring, Don Cheadle, Regina Hall and Andrew Rannells

  • Former House of Lies star Cheadle returns to Showtime in the comedy co-created by Happy Endings' David Caspe. Black Monday kicks off on Black Monday, Oct. 19, 1987, the day of the worst stock market crash in Wall Street history. "Black Monday is a scathing comic commentary on the excess of the '80s," says Showtime CEO David Nevins of the comedy, which was originally titled Ball Street. "Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall lead a hilarious cast that takes on blue-blooded Wall Street as the Bad News Bears of Wall Street trading firms."
