Forster, who died Friday at his home of brain cancer at age 78, is best remembered for film roles like 1968's Medium Cool and his Oscar-nominated performance in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown. But he'll also be remembered by TV audiences for appearing on the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad as Ed, The Disappearer, a role he reprised for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story -- released on the same day as his death. According to IMDb, El Camino is Forster's final confirmed screen credit. "I’m saddened today by the news that Robert Forster has passed away," tweeted Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston. "A lovely man and a consummate actor. I met him on the movie Alligator (pic) 40 years ago, and then again on BB. I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood. RIP Bob." Forster also had a memorable role as the father of Carla Gugino's Karen Sisco in the early 2000s. In recent years, Forster played Sheriff Frank Truman in Twin Peaks: The Return and as Tim Allen's dad on Last Man Standing.
